Another nail in the coffin for the DEA.

Last Thursday, the Appropriations Committee voted 16-14 on an amendment to allow marijuana businesses access to federal banking services, a landmark shift that will help states like Colorado, where pot is legal, fully integrate marijuana into their economies. As significant as the vote was, it’s only the latest vote in a remarkable run of success marijuana advocates have had this year on Capitol Hill.

Yes, we really need that. There aren't enough buzzed driver's on the road already. Sometimes I feel that I am on an obstacle course instead of the streets or highways.

Yu can spot a "buzzed" driver by observing he is driving slower than mot traffic. You can recognize a drunk driver by noting they are usually speeding very erratically as they search for another car or the perfect tree to hit. Drunk drivers are far more dangerous than "buzzed" drivers.

I support legalizing both medical and recreational use of marijuana. The former saves lives and what other people do to amuse themselves is none of my business.

FWIW - I do not use MJ. My drug of choice is caffeine.

That's your objection? lol
Of course while driving you never listen to the radio, adjust the climate control, talk to your passenger, text, check your phone, read the paper, eat a sandwich, pick your nose...

Never mind that driving stoned will still be illegal and technology is improving in "weeding" out stoned drivers.

You don't even know what this means. It has nothing to do with an increase of use. It simply will allow the marijuana business to use the banking system, no more cash only transactions, we'll be able to use credit cards.

I don't see the DEA as close to needing a coffin, anytime soon. There's still plenty of illegal drugs, and legitimate medical patients to treat as if they are all abusers. Word I'm hearing is now all synthetic based pain medicines, such as Tramadol, will be moving to C2 class, soon. DEA has lots of life left, getting in between people and their medical care. Keeping doctors scared to prescribe an aspirin to someone with a broken bone. Fun stuff like that.

My state is a medical MJ state. only you have to be in a terminal illness to get a prescription. Practically the way it's administered is that you are better off buying on the street anyway. Minimum mandatory sentences for pot are long felonies. Like if you grow a plant, that's mandatory minimum 3 years.
