As the father of a Gay son and involved with PFLAG over the years, I must say you are falling for the Democrat fed propaganda.

Most conservatives I know are more moderate to liberal in our views of gays and don't care who your partner might be.
What we oppose is what you are complaining about. High taxes and a socialist agenda.

Many Democrats are NOT gay friendly, they just want your vote and your money.
You need to open your mind and look at your pocketbook to see who's side you're really on.

The best way to sink a nation is to demonize its history and get people on welfare. Democrats are doing both.

You mean we should raise taxes on the poor while giving the rich a tax cut

Why cherry pick "welfare bums" when they aren't the biggest chunk of your taxes?
This isn't really an accurate breakdown and when we see the infamous "pie charts" they don't tell the whole story either.

What is hidden is that in just about every department of the government, social programs are lurking and tax dollars are channeled toward people who fall beneath the poverty line.

I am all for helping the marginalized in our society. I myself have been the recipient of food stamps, the WIC program, and probably a few other programs over the years (right - reduced lunches for my kids is one). But I am for helping them become as self sufficient as possible as quickly as possible. And I know it can be done because I did it myself.

But I didn't like living in poverty and I couldn't wait to get out of it as quickly as possible. I didn't care if I had to work my fingers to the bone to do it either. I didn't want my kids growing up in poverty.

No they don't. They tend to have poorer health which by default, is obviously not success. Our health is all we have.
You are in the minority, well for a time. The odds are against you because of your lifestyle.
Gays are so into satisfying their indulgences, instant gratification, that they wreak havok against their own bodies.

Taxes are small compared to what it could be.. if China stops lending to us.. we will see taxes go up, inflation, services cut.. Greece will look like paradise compared to the United States .

conservatives dont give a **** who you live with, thats why they went to court to remove DADT, it was DEMOCRATS that opposed its removal.. Clinton and Obama both said that marriage was between a man and a woman, and Obama sent people to court to object to repealing the bill..

And welfare. There are alot of people who are out for your money. 3 of these doesn't even make sense from a society stand point.
If you dont know the difference between allowing people to keep their money, and taking from others.. the smart part of your name can be dropped..

Added by edit.

Gay people tend to be successful and self-sufficient. That's why we as a community have a lot of disposable income. My boyfriend and I like to go out often and enjoy ourselves. We also don't care much for the octo single mom on welfare.

If conservatives stop worrying so much about what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms, I imagine they would capture a very large voting block of the population.

There is little to no effort to bring back the sodomy laws of the past. If anything, liberals are more likely to bring back sex police. Here in 100% liberal-controlled Seattle, we see this:
14 arrested in raid at Rick’s strip club | The Seattle Times
Seattle police raid, then run massage parlor - seattlepi.com
Police raid 3 “temples” in prostitution sting | The Seattle Times

Conservatives (individualists) tend to not care what you do in the privacy of your bedroom. Liberals (collectivists) not so much. Your business is their business.

I work on average of 55-65 hours a week. I work extra hard and take pride in my job. But... sometimes I feel like the more and harder I work the more I get penalized.

And then I turn around and see people who aren't motivated at all and pump out babies just for the sake of breeding. And they're on food stamps on a permanent basis.

Don't get me wrong. I'm as liberal as the next guy. I believe that those we as a society ought to have a safety net in place to catch people who have fallen. We all need it. Any one of us could get laid off tomorrow.

But these safety nets should be meant as temporary. Some people I personally know are on these food stamps and other social safety programs permanently. They walk out of jobs they don't like just to keep their overall wages down.

And now there are reports of people in Seattle asking to work less because they fear losing their benefits because the minimum wage increased.

I've worked hard all my life. I guess I don't mind paying the ridiculous high rates in my income bracket so much if I knew my tax dollars are going toward helping people who have fallen AS WELL AS weaning them off the social programs. But as it stands, that's not the case is it?

Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about. We've all seen the ridiculously large and very poor families using food stamps at the store. And most of the time the women are pregnant. In other words, I work hard every day and pay thousands in taxes each month to fund these women to keep pumping out kids.

That makes me very depressed.
You pay high taxes because of supply side/trickle down economics practiced by republicans, by definition these are tax cuts for large corporations and the very rich.

Like GW Bush's tax cuts that gave the richest 1% of Americans 52% of the tax cuts, and gave the middle 20% of Americans 10% of the tax cuts.
Bush Tax Cuts After 2002: June 2002 CTJ Analysis

Or Mitt Romney's tax plan that would have given 100% of its tax cuts to large corporations and the very rich.
Romney's Economic Plan Includes $6.6 Trillion Tax Cut For The Rich And Corporations | ThinkProgress

And even when we have democrat presidents republicans in congress still block bills and support bills to make our tax system supply side/trickle down. Like when republicans in congress block middle class and small business tax cuts.
GOP Senators Reject Tax Cuts for Middle Class - CBS News
GOP Blocks Senate Small-Business Tax Cut Bill : Roll Call News

And every republican candidate in 2016 has a supply side/trickle down economics tax plan.

And as far as our messed up welfare system.
Did Ronald Reagan fix our welfare system? No.
Did GW Bush fix our welfare system? No.

Today's republicans are a bunch of corporate workers and their only true desires are CEO and corporate tax cuts and corporate deregulation. Today's republicans only TALK about welfare to get welfare haters to vote republican (but when the corporate republicans get elected they don't fix the welfare system.)
