Because the robots.txt file for the site was changed to disallow archiving. It does not mean the site is gone, it just means that they've disallowed google and other sites from saving the data.

For those wanting more evidence tearing this apart-heres ALL schools for the area, on the wayback machine. The local web admin put in the privacy filter for all of the schools at the same time....not just sandy.

Theres nothing to explain, thats 6 months after the incident. Odds are the website was changed, and the privacy settings changed. You really dont know how this stuff works do you?
The school was open, lots of people attended events there, lots of people knew teachers there. Your argument is complete nonsense.
