"Republicans hold both houses of Congress, and they are fully able (but, obviously, not fully capable) to pass an Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) bill which would direct President Obama on how to wage war with the Islamic State in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere. So the answer to any wild plan any Republican proposes on what to do about the Islamic State or Syria has to be: "Well then, why don't you write up an AUMF with that idea and put it on the president's desk?"

Republicans Should Pass an AUMF or Stop Complaining*|*Chris Weigant

If they think they can do better, then lay it out in a document and send it to the president. Set goals and ways to achieve those goals so we all can see what they are.

But I think we all know the reason why they won't do that. Because they have no answers. And because it's easier to simply complain that president isn't doing enough. Or is doing too much. Or isn't using the right words. Or something.

They hold both houses of Congress and the only thing they are capable of doing is complaining. Talk about useless.

This is true. There is very little difference.

They both love Big Government (Dems slightly bigger government) telling us how to live our lives, what we can eat, what we can drink, what we can smoke and who we can have sex with.

They both love a HUGE military (Reps slightly bigger military) and love to start and prolong wars that are used to tell other countries what is best for them and kill bad guys so their bad guy can get in power.

They both love HUGE tax revenues (Dems slightly bigger) and constantly seek new ways to increase taxes and use their control of revenue to control the states in ways that are way beyond what the Constitution defines.

They both love a HUGE Federal Government spend (Dems slightly bigger) that controls almost every aspect of our lives due to its humongous size.

They both love the WAR on DRUGS and use it to justify other wars.

They both HATE third parties and do everything they can to prevent the growth of third parties that might threaten their power duopoly.

Instead they just rolled over and played dead. It's time for Boehner and McConnel to go!
Hopefully Ryan will have some spine in dealing with Obama.

Well in the last analysis they have the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads and as you might know it is veto pen of the Dictator in Chief. So why create a lot of hullabalu for the main stream to feast upon when it will all be vetoed in the end, and the anointed one will be portrayed as the knight in shining armor.

Why not lay out their ideas for all of us to see and judge for ourselves? They certainly have no problem going on the airwaves and complaining about the course the president is taking. Why don't they actually participate in governing and tell us exactly what they would do? Or is doing the job they have been sent to do simply too much "hullabalu" for them?

Or maybe, and more likely, it's because they actually have no ideas. At least none that they're willing to commit to paper.

I didn't watch all the debate but I did see the Five and the programs on Fox after them and came to a conclusion that it was a good thing Trump was not there. If Trump had not entered the race the republicans would be all over themselves courting the Hispanic vote. Trump changed that but he didn't change how they feel about it. They are just following his lead because he is saying what the average citizen wants. Without Trump in the mix it is just a bunch of politicians playing politics just like congress is doing. We need somebody seriously trying to fix the mess our country is in. The men I saw debating are trying to be employed in government and really don't care what the American loyal citizens want.

Who is it that wants the illegals to be such a big part of this nation. I do not understand why these people are being ignored and allowed to stay and further more, we are almost totally supporting them. These people are costing the American taxpayer billions each year. Where besides Fox News is this coming from?

Sorry. I got a couple of words too many in there and don't know how to correct it.
When the GOP issued two different responses to the SCOTUS speech one in English that mentioned nothing about amnesty and another in Spanish that talked about amnesty I sent emails to our senators lisa murkowski and Dan Sullivan asking

a) did you know the GOP was being deceptive
b) do you support this deception

My response? We will get back to you. Guess what? I never heard back.

The GOP is lost. I believe the GOP will split into two seperate parties. One that is the old guard that will continue to pull in corporate monies at the expense of voters. The new party will rail against the old guard and want more freedom and less government.

Now, democrats are not independent people. They need someone to take care of them. To make them feel good and someone to swing their twisted sword of social justice when they think someone has something they don't or has more than what they think another person should. Doubt this? Just look at sanders platform? It's ALL take from the ones that are deem unworthy and give to liberals. It's Socialism, there is no denying it. With thT said, liberals will remain untied under one party. I just wish democrats would start calling themselves socialists. It's long about time. I'm just not sure liberals understand the long term impact of this ideology and I doubt they will be willing to pay the price.

Sound about right?

I'm laughing at the idea and the ridiculous amounts of jubilation after the Republicans won the Congress when Republican voters actually thought the GOP were gonna stifle Obama somehow.

Stop it. What in the GOP's history made you believe that that was ever gonna happen?

Obama has owned the GOP from day one. And when they took over the Congress, his ownage became so dominant that someone should've called the cops on him for Conservative Abuse.

Yeah, you guys are so disappointed, but I sure as heck can't figure out why your expectations were so high.
