What happened to Obamas claims that we need to mind our own business and not interject into international affairs?
Another lie...
Can you provide the quote you're referencing? I recall Obama campaigning in 2007 on international engagement, so it's likely you're taking his statement out of context.
The only people Obama is interested in fighting are Republicans.
Exactly. The only war Obama has ever expressed interest in is Class War. In his mind all other wars are 'illegal' or being waged by 'freedom fighters'.
Americans have failed to understand that brutal dictators like Assad, Mubarak, Kaddaffi, Saddam Hussein and the Shah of Iran -- plus various kings -- have been the only thing to keep a lid on Jihad and the spread of Islamism.
It was a mistake not to support the Shah of Iran and his chosen successor in 1979.
It was a mistake not to support Saddam Hussein -- even though he did invade Kuwait (which has been showing us so much gratitude ever since. )
It was a mistake not to support Kaddafi, even though he was behind some terrorist attacks -- which eventually stopped thanks to Reagan.
It was a mistake not support Hosni Mubarrak.
It is a mistake right now not to support Assad and wean him away from Iranian influence.
Egypt has been saved by its military. Libya is a failed state and a disaster. Iraq is a disaster -- especially because Obama refused to leave a residual force. Iran has been a disaster for the last 36 years. Syria is a disaster. Which means that Lebanon is also a disaster.
I'm surprised that Israel didn't clue us in a long time ago. You would think they would have known what was in store for us if we played "knight in shining armor" and pretended that the Middle East is like Europe.
Or maybe they did warn us, and we refused to listen.
It's always looked to me as if Israeli hawks are suited just fine by keeping ME muslim governments in turmoil. If that's the case, why would they warn us off????

He also ran on a wind-down-the-wars platform. There's more than one way to be internationally engaged.
I wished the same people who feel that Assad stabilizes Syria and the region would have gotten a similar message to W before he deposed Saddam and emptied the US treasury. Isis and Al Queda were not in Iraq when Saddam was in power. Bush 41 had enough sense to leave Saddam there but W followed the chicken hawks catastrophic advice.
Israel thought it would be a good idea for us to invade Iraq and they also wanted us to invade Iran, with friends like that who needs enemies. So much for Israeli inteligence.
Well I know plenty of gay men and conservatives that find little Putin attractive when he takes off his little shirt for everyone to see. So maybe the real rainbow warrior is little Putin.
Too many "littles" in that post. The airstrikes Putin laid on our allies today weren't little, though...and Obama will just scold the heck out of Vlad. Wait and see. Kerry and Obama. Jeezus.
