I unfortunately live with a smoker and the behavior is downright sickening. These supposedly legal dispensaries are a joke too and are not on the up and up at all.
What about users lungs?
Wouldn't constant pot smoking hurt people's lungs? That's never talked about
It's talked about plenty but the fact is that pot smoke is less harmful than cigarette smoke (no arsenic, other gross chemicals). Besides that you can always vape or bake instead. Many people prefer old school smoking but that is changing.
Over time I'm sure there are issues with excessively smoking anything but marijuana doesn't have to be smoked. And the tobacco papers used to roll with are more of an issue than the marijuana itself.
It can be ingested or vaporized, served in tea, etc.
Yep, it can be. But it ain't done by the vast majority of potheads.
One in three users are showing signs of dependence or abuse
And then they celebrate by saying ""The prevalence of marijuana use disorder among marijuana users decreased significantly from 2001-2013," from 35.6 percent of users to 30.6."
Lets get this straight: 10 years ago you had 1000 users, 350 of then had marijuana related disorders, and today you have 2000 users and 600 people with disorders, and that's somehow a good thing? Number of people with disorders nearly doubled.
Marijuana study: Number of Americans toking up doubles in 10 years
A heck of a lot more Americans were toking up in 2012-13 than 10 years before -- and not for medical reasons, either -- according to a new study.
The percentage of American adults who had used marijuana within the last year was 9.5%, the study found. That compared to 4.1% in 2001-02.
With the increase in use has come an increase in the total number of what the study called "marijuana use disorders."
Some people develop disorders. Other people use it to cure disorders. YMMV, but it's not up to the nanny state to tell you whether or not to use it.
total BS!!!!! I know lots of people that have practically given up alcohol and smoke mostly bud instead, and I'm one of them..
Agreed I have some friends that have quit drinking totally and smoke weed instead, a couple of whom quit drinking due to their inability to control their temper when they drink, another who was raised by violent alcoholics and chooses not to drink but will smoke occasionally, and a couple that have severe mental issues and smoking helps while drinking causes bigger problems. They all seem to be happier and healthier with weed than they would be drinking.
I've never done weed in any form but I'm guessing it tastes like $h!#. Am I right?
