Her implication is obvious.

Isn't that the point of this entire thread- controlling speech?

I'm guess the irony is lost on most.
The same idiotic circular reasoning could be applied to you as well!
Why are you trying to control speech in this thread?

I think her implications are obvious, but I think it went right over many people's heads.

I suppose if the picture in her office was "folks" working in strawberry or tomato fields so many wouldn't have leapt to the conclusion she was talking about slavery.

I think she was talking about "folks" who actually do back breaking work everyday of their lives.

As Freud would say, "Sometimes a penis is just a penis."

I propose that the same could be said for a vagina.

I don't think it's much of a leap.
She pauses and tells her guest to be "super careful" and then mentions she keeps a picture of people picking cotton as a reminder to her.

Are we really supposed to believe that is a reference to anything OTHER than slavery?

I personally find the woman obnoxious but I do think in this instance she was talking about people who actually do back breaking work for little money. However, someone who makes the money she makes lecturing anyone on "privilege" and not using the term hard working is ridiculous. Not to mention the obvious point that one can work very hard without it being a physical job.
