^^^^Here you have it, folks. This is the Liberals' MO: they don't agree with a service for veterans....no one gets a service for veterans. They don't want a gun...no one gets a gun. And on it goes.
As for those "outraged" and "offended" students, they should be outraged and offended enough to hold or attend a veterans service off campus.
Stop with the feelings, and start with the action.
Same question to you: Did you read the article? It's the religious folks who didn't want this to be included in their own private religious service on their own private religious campus because doing so violates their religious beliefs.
Also, do you have a calendar? November 10 is not Veteran's Day.
I feel sad for our country. Anything and everything has become offensive. Both sides are equally guilty of over reacting.
I fly my flag on holidays. My neighbor doesn't and he is as patriotic as I am. The flag represents freedom. The freedom do show love of country as you see fit. Waving the flag doesn't mean you love your country or honor our vets more than if you don't wave the flag.
Your question was too general and very vague. Most private companies usually run their businesses the way they want or to use your words "as they see fit." So as long as no laws are being broken, I don't see the point of your question.
Yes you do. Don't call others out where you don't want to be called out.

Pay more attention. Such actions as those reported in the OP are a very welcome sign that the pendulum of knee-jerk homage to the military and societal worship of war has at last swung too far and may be starting a long-overdue swing back toward rationality. When we have the Pentagon using taxpayer dollars to encourage and sponsor events that glorify war and killing, things have gone more than a little bit too far.
Those were the points raised. Your need to invent others is noted but not considered worthy of any more reply than this.

You deserved every word of rebuke that you got and more. As an FYI, there is a significant difference between what a public accommodation may do and what a private association may do. You can't try to be both. This is the very bit of confusion that got the Boy Scouts hauled before the Supreme Court.
Good. It's time we put a stop to excessive knee-jerk "God and Country" nonsense and glorification of war. We have DOD using taxpayer dollars to pay sports teams to stage military worship nights. Somebody needs to press the Reset button here. It's all gone over the line and gotten out of hand.
That kind of mentality would have you speaking German and yelling "Zieg Heil" or "Heil Hitler". (sp)
Private institutions are not immune to the law. Neither (obviously) are they immune to having partisan propaganda organizations such as FOX News waving their little red capes around so as to incite charges by bull-headed flash-mobs of their faithful followers into some pointless new-found fray.
