No, are you denying that in America evangelicals are on the front lines of prejudice against gays?
When gay marriage lost in California the first time it lost because blacks and Hispanics overwhelmingly voted against it. Neither group is generally considered "evangelical".
As a very reliable right wing supporter and conservative, I think this judge was wrong. If the home was safe, the child was being taken care of, and the foster parents are willing to care for the child, there is no reason to remove the child. Really, the foster system desperately needs more foster parents and if this gay couple can provide a safe home, then they should be allowed to do so.
Are we getting the full story? This just doesn't sound right, it sounds fishy. He can't base his ruling on that, there has to be more. He's in big trouble if he did, surely he's smarter than that.
The governor and the head of the department of children think the judge is off base, and I would assume that at least one of them has access to the records regarding the child.
