We should send help. Opening our borders is causing too much conflict and violence here. I feel for the refugees but we're unable to deal with our own immigration problem right now. We can't create another one. Send all the help we can. We are simply not in position to deal with them. What we can do is help them where they are and we should simply because we can.
Kerry already upped the cap. We will be taking in at least 180,000 ME refugees in the next 2 years.
9 "welcome centers" are open in the the ME countries to process them and give them airline tickets to come here.
Oh and FYI..one can buy a fake Syrian passport for $3000 in Turkey.
That is the reason so many of these "Syrian refugees" are going through Turkey first before their great trek to Europe.
Yup and Germany found out about it a little too late.
Only about 40% of those "Syrian refugees" were actually Syrian refugees.
Now they have language experts to help process them so they can check dialect.
Because Obama will have screeners ask the 185,000 Syrian refugees questions to make sure they aren't ISIS.
ISIS may cut off heads, but they won't lie to a screener to get into the US.
Why would they wait in line for months or years. Fake Passports are easy to come by (especially those from Russia and associated countries) , and none have a religious check box.
Immigrants have the highest rates of starting new businesses in America. This is the land of opportunity. Irish, German, Italian, and other immigrants also started the same way. They were "incompatible" back then, for one reason or the other..
China, Russia, Japan are so much smarter than us. They're taking in ZERO syrians.
As are Muslim countries, they don't want them, but everyone wants Muslim countries to take them in.
Just heard Ted Cruz's solution. If he were president he would TELL Saudi Arabia to take in the refugees and the US would build and pay for the "camp". He seems to think that being forced to relocate has an impact on their culture and beliefs.
Here's my solution: Send the male refugees back to Syria and let them fight or die. If they didn't have a countries willing to take them in that's exactly what they would have to do.
