Simple question to the folks who support this and agree with the president..
If we have a terrorist attack like Paris just did, that can be traced to the new Syrian immigrants, do you still stand by your decision? Is that acceptable to you or do you change your position?
I wonder how many who support this have the guts to answer that honestly
The three usual suspects here on this board that are always defending Obumma are incapable of being honest.
They are way too invested in him, and will deny his incompetence no matter how much damage he inflicts on America.
Because the word "refugees" is a new vocabulary word that right wingers just learned to add to their fear mongering machines that produce their propaganda.
Is there a list of overused words employed by the left? Mongering and lining their pockets comes to mind.
I generally agree with Obama's actions and I voted for him both times.
But I strongly disagree with his position on allowing these Syrians in.
They aren't mostly women and children fleeing the violence. Many if not most of these "refugees" are military age males dodging service. As they leave Syria, our CIA is interviewing many of them, hoping to recruit volunteers to fight ISIS. Out of the many thousands screened so far, we've recruited a grand total of 4.

Think about that.
If we had an ISIS type problem here in America, would you run off to a distant country seeking asylum or would you stay and fight?
These shameful cowards have no place here in the USA or in Europe, either. Syria is their country and their home. If they won't stand up and be counted in their homeland, what can anyone expect of them in any other country they land in?
No Mr President, America has no desire to accept these bums. And no doubt there are numerous radicals among them just looking for the opportunity to strike at us "infidels."
The vetting process keeps people waiting for up to 2 years to get into the US. These are not people running over a border. They become legal aliens who will benefit from being in our country.
The US has a ridged system to be a legal alien, the Syrians who can pass muster should be allowed to come.
Check it out and turn off the GOP political machine which is nothing but counter factual as they have nothing.
^You didn't address the fact that Obama told the rest of the world, while on an international trip, that Americans are "shameful". Something that no other President has ever done.

We can read. He didn't call Americans shameful. Just stop with the twisting of the story.
It makes my blood boil that we are made to allow them to sink the American ship. I wish I had totalitarian control of this country - they would all be dealt with accordingly, tried for treason and sentenced to a "capital offense" and punished accordingly.
They are going to destroy this country, if it isn't already destroyed. Now all us Anglos can do is to prepare ourselves - arm ourselves, move to areas with like minded and fellow Anglos who have a common background with ourselves. Then wait for the STHTF.
You should have been equally angry over the 10 years and trillions of dollars that were spent destabilizing the ME causing this mass migration. That money and effort could have been spent in much more productive ways and we wouldn't be in this situation. Now accepting 185,000 refugess is suddenly going to ut us over the top, who are these governors that want to prevent us from helping desperate people.
Obama is upset the children talked back when they heard him say, we have to let them in to see if some are terrorists............
