He blames Republicans but listen to the public opinion. The vast majority of Americans oppose the refugees given the danger his failed policies have left us in and also illegal immigration. We don't want either but he is pushing for them in order to carry out his plan to destroy our nation.

Why is Obama so selective with his "concern"?
No room in America for Christian refugees

The Democrats aren't using refugees as political pawns like the Republicans are.

Are you sure, last I saw it was the GOP whining and stomping their feet over not getting their way....

Though I get it, if he were a real leader, he would be caving to the GOP and giving them everything they want.

They didn't say that.

They said they don't want them.

He was shaming all Americans who agree with the governors.

And those governors should be ashamed. Why? Because being the top executives in those states, one would think that they would have at least some notion of Constitutional law. Immigration policy is a Federal matter. Period.
They never said it wasn't.

Quote:
The states have no jurisdiction there.
They never claimed that the states do have jurisdiction. All they said is that they don't want the refugees.

They also pointed out that they aren't even informed about refugees who come to their states.

The State Department contracts with non-governmental organizations (NGO's) like Catholic Charities to resettle the refugees, and it's all done very sneakily so that the "natives" (Americans) won't get upset.

What kind of a government treats its own citizens so disrespectfully?

Our government under Obama, unfortunately.

Quote:
Secondly, if they believe that refusing to allow Syrian refugees to settle in their states is going to make those states safe from terrorism, they are deluding themselves. The vast majority of Muslims do not live in Syria. So if you refuse admission to Syrians, all they have to do is go to some other Muslim state and apply for a visa there.
Huh?

So they'll just go to Damascus Airport, buy a ticket with their Visa Card and jump on plane to Cairo?

Is that how that works?
Quote:
Finally, the Syrian civil war has produce the largest humanitarian crisis since WWII. the bulk of these refugees are women, children, and the elderly.
Wrong.

The bulk are young, fighting-age men who should go back and defend their own country.

Quote:
I think people need to take a breath, settle down a bit, and not let these *******s in ISIS dictate policy to the west.
If we accept Muslim refugees that our own FBI Director James Comey -- as well as the State Department and the CIA -- have said we can't properly vet, then we ARE letting ISIS dictate our policy.

ISIS has said it will infiltrate the refugees.

One of the terrorists in Paris was a "refugee."

Obama doesn't even listen to his own advisers who have told him that we can't vet the refugees.

His silly speech in Turkey referenced "3 year old orphans."

How stupid does he think we are?

He already has a terrible track record with refugees.

The Tsarnaev brothers (Boston bombers) were refugees. Their mother was an outspoken supporter of Islamic terrorism.

Obama is a traitor and a supporter of Islamic terrorism. We know this by his actions.

I'm sorry that you are new to this, the country has been taking in refugees long before Obama was in office, so I don't think he needs to explain why we do that.

Barack Obama is LATE for moment of silence for Aris attack victims at G20 | Daily Mail Online
I wouldn't say it's shameful. People are scared, and even if it's for reasons I don't quite agree with, I'm not going to pretend to not understand that just for political biased reasons.

It's more shameful how many people assume the news is valid and jump on the 'Islam is evil' bandwagon. Yeah, it's violent, but it's not especially extreme given world history. We've seen worse groups. Substantially worse groups. And at least Muslims are reasonably diverse. Many, probably most, Muslims are very much against what groups like ISIS do. However, even then, it's hard to label that as shameful when all the news does is make everything into a sensational story. If anything, we're all victims of a system corrupted by money and politics.

Obama managed to squeak out a "we stand with France" ...... many hours after the Paris attack.
He stumbled his way through a 49 minute press conference yesterday and satisfied none of the reporters.
He shows REAL passion when he attacks American Citizens and scolds us for HIS ineptitude.
President Stompy Foot is at his Best when he gets "offended" and tells the American people "who we are" according to our Fearless Leader, the "I WON" guy.

He wasn't bothered when simple protests in Syria turned into brutal Civil War once al-Assad started Murdering his citizens. Obama dithered, and dithered and dithered for years ..... as a quarter of a Million people were killed.
His "Red Line" over Chemical weapons went "poof" the minute al-Assad used those Chemical weapons.

He has taken in almost 2,000 Syrian refugees this year - 53 of them are the Christians that are being beheaded, murdered or raped. There is NO WAY to "vet" or verify these Syrian Refugees - the FBI Director said we couldn't vet them this week. We have ZERO contacts in Syria, no Embassy and no Ambassador. We don't have records and can't get records. The UN picks out the refugees THEY want to come to the USA - it's not like anyone here is sponsoring them OR even knows them. He spouts "Biometrics, Biometrics" "we are using Biometrics to vet these people."
Does he even know what Biometrics are and what they are used for?????? They are NOT used for "background" checks - except for checking passports, drivers license and documentation. All we have to check is the International Crime list and Terrorism lists.

How do Syrian refugees get into the U.S.? Explaining the process |CNN - Nov 17, 2015

They are spending many months to process them because the Bureaucracy of the US Government is inept - these are the same folks that spent many Millions of Dollars over 2 years to put a Web-site up for Obamacare that FAILED.

I've said it before - it's primarily Catholic Charities that handle the Re-settlement of Refugees. They are Federal Contractors and get paid to do it. Other organizations work on this - but it is mainly Catholic Charities. After they give them their $1,000 cash, new apartment (outfitted with everything they need), English language training, Social Security card, sign them up for welfare and find them job prospects .... they cut them loose and don't track them at all. The one that went missing from Louisiana is apparently now in Washington D.C., according to Governor Jindal. TeamObama is also ignoring that over half the States don't want refugees right now - that included Democratic Governors.

Refugee resettlement group admits: We don’t track them

How DARE he "scold" the people he is supposed to serve - he ignores US Law, he ignores the US Citizens.
Obama thinks he is a "ruler" that is totally unaccountable to US Citizens. He is also ignoring the ISIS Threats against the USA. I guess he thinks 100 or so dead is just another irritating "Set-Back".

at least 31 governors are either opposing, refusing, or suspending the resettlement of Syrian refugees into their state — either permanently or until after a security review. Spin it all you want, these are the facts.

Americans who oppose what has been a tradition in our country (and the law) since its inception should be ashamed. They should be ashamed for not understanding the law. They should be ashamed for their bigotry. They should be ashamed for pissing in their own pants.

See above.

The Federal government is not, nor has ever been required to inform the states on matters of Federal law. The law is well documented and understood.

Oh dear. So now the Catholics are at fault?

I deleted the rest of your rant because it is not worth repeating or responding to.
