IIRC, when the fighting in Syria started, and the war mongers so were insisting we needed to get in there, the POTUS asked how one could tell the good guys from the bad guys, especially since they changed sides. That is why he didn't want to get mixed up in it in the first place.

The rabble rousers continued so he asked for Congressional authority to go to war. Crickets

Whatever Obama does, the right will find fault.

Funny they didn't whine when their hero Reagan sold TOW missiles to a known enemy, eh?

The army is buying new rifles with a " U " shaped barrel. A full clip of ammo will be just one round. It's part of a new economic warfare strategy to reduce cost. It will fit right in with arming the enemy with the tow missiles.

Apparently the OP is unaware that TOW missiles are actually anti-armor missiles. Their primary use is to take out tanks.

BTW the Russian helicopter taken out this last week with one? Was on the ground.

Then why did he arm them?

Your post begs this question.

TOW missiles aren't exactly cutting edge, they were used in Vietnam. Not that a helicopter on the ground is anything but a soft target.

We gave TOW missiles to the FSA to fight Assad's regime & tanks. One was used against a Russian helicopter that was supporting the Assad regime. The middle east is awash and arms dealers - arms and 30 year old TOW technology can be procured from many sources not just the US government.

Right wing posters in other threads call Syrian refugee men cowards and want to send them back to fight - but now apparently don't want to arm them.
