I wouldn't buy it either. Nobody needs the "GOP Elite" to tell them that Trump would embarass the United States. Most people can see it with their own eyes.
It's too bad that has taken a character like Trump. But the sheeple are SO asleep, apathetic, wicked and/or ignorant that they have led us to this point.

And what, a socialist isolationist like Sanders will be chosen to command a war? Please. Hillary is a hawk, and we've had women in the Armed Forces for many many years. It's a non-issue for most. Plus, having a woman being the president would **** off the Islamics, which is an added bonus for some.
The GOP is tearing itself apart. The social conservatives and the business conservatives are at war. IMO the social conservatives will win this fight short term and nominate -- not Trump, but Rafael Cruz Jr. Independent voters will not endorse this lurch to the right and Clinton will win handily. She will have coattails but it's too early to tell how many seats in the Senate and House she will pick up. The Republican Party may splinter into two different groups as a result.
I doubt Cruz will win. He and the establishment (notably Rubio) will destroy each other. Trump is dominating him everywhere, except in Iowa (and that's by a small margin as it is). Not to mention that many know that Cruz is too evangelical to beat Hillary. The Donald is a secular Republican, which is why he has the best chance to beat her. People will realize this in the end.
No, not really. Trump routinely insults our most important trading partners.
That's a different matter than whether or not he'd get along with Putin.
And have you read what the Chinese think of him? Besides making fun of his hair, they are intrigued by The Donald and like his stance on the Islamics. Sure, they wouldn't get away with their theft anymore (which is a good thing) but they would respect Trump's strength as they have throughout his time as a businessman, even when they lost.

Wasn't it Bush, a member of the GOP establishment, that embarrassed the USA from 2001-2009? So who the hell are they to tell us who would and wouldn't get along with world leaders, alienate allies, or embarrass us? They backed that fool! Twice!!
Well put OP, I agree. This is the reason for Trumps rise! and why I laugh at those who suggest we need an establishment candidate like Bush, Rubio, etc. Yeah right, we need another GOP puppet candidate like we need a hole in our head. This election should be interesting...

The irony is that these warnings from them about Trump are having the opposite effect on people like me.
Illegal aliens = act of love
Path to citizenship is not amnesty
American businesses will close if we take away the illegal alien workforce

That's the thing: Trump just MIGHT shake up the corrupt, stinking heap which is our government. The others have always just wanted to get to drive the car down the same old road.

Cruz won't win because the GOP establishment is already planning to go full birther on him. I foillow about a dozen GOP official state facebook pages. The sites are being flooded with "Cruz is not eligible" posts.
