Keep waiting. My guess is it'll be years before you're wise enough to see past your own responses and hypocrisy. As usual, you already hung yourself with your own words.
So you got nothing....
No, I did not, your inability to comprehended is not my problem....
Just a question I'd like to see what people think about. Why do people own assault rifles? What do you use it for? Guy I work with being an retired military, sharp shooter, former hunter, still owns many guns was also asking?

I dont know many people who own assault rifles, those are federally regulated and tremendously expensive. Modern sporting rifles? I own them because they are great range guns, great hunting guns (in the proper caliber), and are pretty accurate. A modern sporting rifle is also much easier for my significant other to handle than an older high caliber 'battle rifle'. Modern sporting rifles are also a tremendous home defense firearm. The 223 round actualy over penetrates less than handguns and shotgun slugs.
They are trying to redefine what it means to be a dealer no details yet but they wont be getting very far.
The real concern for me is their eyeing NFA trusts. NFA trusts are a useful vehicle for acquiring NFA tax stamps when your CLEO will not sign off on the ATF paperwork. Eliminating NFA Trusts would restrict people who can acquire NFA stamps based on where they live, not OK in my book.
Another directive is for federal agencies to explore getting smart guns for their armed staff, that will literally never happen and gets an LOL.
Not a single thing outlined at this point will impact crime.

That enough reasons for you?
I'm not anti gun at all, just trying to learn why someone would buy an AR-15? When I lived in AK with friends who guided brown bear hunts, none of them owned or thought about bringing them for hunting. Just learning why someone would want it and what you would use it for?

Brown bears are way too big for the AR platform unless you have one in .308.
The much more common AR15 in .223/5.56 is widely used in the west and south for hog control, coyote control, badger control, etc... It's light, reliable, accurate and easy to find ammo for.

Did you ignore all of the above? Hunting bear? No, its too small a caliber and the AR-10 the 308 version of the AR15 much too heavy. Deer etc? The ar15 in the proper caliber is good to go.
And again as listed above it is the most effective home defense firearm available.
