The only amendment, that is protected by its very wording, to never ever be altered or eliminated from the US Constitution.

People that do not understand law. Words mean everything in law, when they start yelling the 2nd amendment can be amended and the Supreme Court is now our creators, as GOD.

Shall not be infringed. Means just that. An Amendment would be an infringement, of individual rights.

To repeal the second amendment would require support of 2/3 of both houses of congress and 3/4 of the state legislatures.

Not to likely considering politicians like their jobs.

Well the fourth amendment is pretty much commercial grade toilet paper at this point, but for some reason the 2nd is divinely handed down from God himself never to be interpreted and revised? Well okay then...

Regardless of that, I don't think you understand how amendments work.

NOPE. That would be an infringement of the 2nd amendment, as it is written.

Words in law are taken how they are written.
Shall not be infringed. An amendment, would in fact be an infringement, would it not.

You will be looking at the barrel of a gun, if you do not consent to give up your rights.
That is a FACT.

bentbow, i know we have had this discussion before, and the fact that you are wrong doesnt seem to matter to you. ANY amendment can be repealed. all that needs to happen is 2/3rd of each house of congress to vote for an amendment that says "the second amendment is hereby repealed", give some specifics, and then they need to get 3/4ths of the states to ratify such an amendment, and once done then the second amendment is thus repealed.

and the supreme court would uphold such an amendment to the constitution, just like it id the 18th amendment, just like it did the 17th amendment, and just like it did the 16th amendment.

that said, i seriously doubt that any movement to repeal the second amendment would get out of the starting blocks. i dont see either house of congress even considering such an amendment in the foreseeable future. in fact i think ANY congressman that even suggested such an amendment would likely be bounced from office by the voters in the very next election, with few exceptions.

As an aside, was watching the news this morning. Stock market at the time I was watching had dropped over 400 points. Gun stocks were up.

An article from October providing information on how gun stocks were performing during 2015:
Gun stocks surge 70% in 2015 alone - Oct. 5, 2015
