The NRA then takes this money to Washington and buys off politicians who enact legislation which encourages the proliferation of more and more guns of every type.

In return the gun industry churns out more guns and pours money into the coffers of the NRA and the politicians.

The NRA uses the media to broadcast its message of supposed gun safety, arming more and more persons of every type, and encouraging a bunch of cowboy/survivalist/constitutional freedom fighter/wanna be mercenaries to stand up for their rights and arm themselves.

Ever notice that the NRA's answer to every gun related slauighter...is to have more people have guns? Teachers, preachers, students, shoppers...have a gun, and your life will be safer! How's that working out?

It is very clever, and Americans in large part eat it up.

Who benefits? Gun manufacturers, NRA insiders, and politicians.

Who pays the price? NRA members, Gun owners and society in general.
The NRA, as an advocacy group, doesn't operate any differently than other, similar groups. But that doesn't make them responsible for the way individuals use weapons.

The NRA isn't our problem.

Since the majority of gun owners are Republican voters it is almost guaranteed those Republicans will stay in office because of the NRA fear campaign.

As a gun owner but not a Republican voter I have no use for the NRA

I find it ironic that so many gun owners claim to be anti govt. except when it comes to the 2nd amendment. Then they call for govt. protection against the so called gun grabbers( Liberals).

I know many Republicans and they are great people but some of them are so easily misled.
There is a huge difference between being "anti govt", as you put it, and pro Constitution.

The people you refer to are against government OVEREACH. They simply want the government to perform its constitutionally defined functions and, in most cases, not much more. That isn't "anti govt". It's anti abuse of power.

They defend the Second amendment because its part of the Constitution and is something the government itself is tasked with defending.

Please explain this to your Democrat friends.

I'd like to see how many murders the NRA has committed versus Planned Parenthood.

How is it ironic for gun owners who want their 2nd Amendment rights to remain "uninfringed" upon, want to keep government out of the infringement business? The fact that the government has intruded upon our 2A rights REQUIRES us to become involved with the government in order to keep what rights we have without further infringement.

Do you not understand that had the government respected the 2A and not already infringed upon that right, there would be no need to lobby government?

When the Government encroaches into your life, your only recourse is to engage support from lobby groups and like minded politicians to fight for the return of your Constitutional rights.

Nope, your Dear Leader along with Hillary as well as the other leftist gun control advocates are the biggest gun sales people of all. Keep up the good work.

I don't own a single gun but I am still 100% against ceding any rights or even parts of any rights to the government.
