We know that groups like ISIS are actively seeking their version of armageddon and are deliberately trying to provoke it. They've said as much.

So - maybe? I think that not enough is yet known about the motivation here.

Can you name another incident where large groups of men went out on the same night to attack women in over a dozen cities right in the public view?
