Hate to say this..This suggestion by Canadian Anchor/fellow who shot someone attacking his home, so is suggested??? ..is full of BS..First, we as Canadian's do NOT have 2nd Amendment rights ..second, anyone up here who have a firearm has to answer to when,why,how they used them IF human being get injured or killed! Just like American gun owner's ( even LE )...but the grey hair man who complains about it doesn't bother to say..any costs incured would be mitigated once the investigation is completed...Like so many other legal battles ( reckless driving,speeding,drunk driving) BUT killing another?? Why wouldn't their be an investigation?? Civilized Society (not Wild Wild West of the 1800's) required proper rules boundaries and limitations..Risks assumed by purchases..required answers when the purchased item causes DEATH/Injury wether it's a gun or car or even faulty equipment used!!
Also..AKA's are weapons of war..not acceptable at all in Canada..so this anchor even mentioning it is nothing but a ignorant fear monger pundit!!
The last time I ever saw a firearm ( rifle) was decades ago..my BF had license and found out later he always had it behind the seat of his truck ( when we went camping) due to Bear threat...but never ever saw him have a need for it. Point is..no one who has a license for firearm in Canada will ever require legal council unless you use it in defence or OFFENCES....That's the risk explained implicitly when you acquire any firearm...and that includes private investigators right down to hunters.. BTW~~ deaths due to gun violence dwarfs American deaths due to gun related deaths!!!
