I was never impressed with their idea of "neighborhood stores". Thought it might be an awkward fit.

I believe Walmart is mainly closing their "express" stores???

Walmart is trying to compete with Amazon.....they are building 3 centrally located shipping centers.

I looked at the list and the right to work states seem to be getting the brunt of the layoffs.

Folks are paid so little they can't even support their local Wally Worlds.

On the other hand, Portland has a chance to convert its two Walmart Express shops into affordable micro-apartment housing.

Uh; if talking about groceries, here in Bullhead City, Smiths which is Kroger, they're giving Walmart a real tough time.

Amazon; I almost never buy anything from them.

Poor people ain't shopping online at other places.

Companies all over are shuttering stores if you've been keeping up with the news.

Inventory isn't moving in all areas.
Walmart is just the next guy on the block to do what others are already doing.
Agreed and; word is WalMart is to Sears and K Mart what they were to Monkey Wards and Wollworths. My point being WM WILL be knocked down tho IMHO Amazon won't be big for much longer.

I think you don't like Wal-Mart...and I'm no fan. But on those occasions when I do go in (perhaps every other month), they are more crowded than any other store in the region.

Yep, we control the right to work states that are seeing the bulk of the closures.

Maryland had closures. Not a right to work state.

Smack yourself in the head a few more times. It won't do any good, but go ahead anyway.
