I could care less about what happened in the dark ages. at least Christianity grew up some, where as Islam is still in the 6 century.
take a bible and take a Quran put them side by side and see which one radiates more BTUs per second
I wasn't talking about the Dark Ages.
Hell, in the 90's, Orthodox Serb militias and Croatian Catholic militias tried to exterminate Muslim Bosniaks by the tens of thousands...and they were blessed by their church leaders.
That's just ONE example.
As for your comparison, b.s.
The Old Testament (which IS part of the Bible) is so violent that I'm shocked that children are allowed to read it.
Murder, kidnapping, pedophilia, genocides of whole tribes, stonings, rape, strongarm robbery...you name it.
There's no such thing as a peaceful religion. All of them are inherently violent.
Some are definitely more so than others. Islam is definitely the most violent right now, and arguably has been since its existence. Christianity is most likely second.
The main reasons for religions being violent is the presence of evangelicalism - the idea that their religion is the only way and that it is their duty to convert others to the religion. While most believe that their religion is the correct path, not all of them are about the need to convert others (Judaism, for example, or most Eastern religions.) Islam and Christianity, however, fit both of these criteria, hence the increased violence. With Christianity, though, there are some central teachings though that enforce peace, which I think tends to make it somewhat less violent than Islam.

Even historically, Islam can't touch Christianity for brutality and violence. No way. The numbers don't add up.
Much of the early conquests of this continent was done with Christian missionaries right by the sides of the conquistadors...and they murdered MILLIONS.
That's just South America. Who knows what they did everywhere else.
I just gave you the Yugoslavian War. Name a recent Islamic religious genocidal conflict that can touch that number alone.
