This is also the guy that runs the NYPD.

Kinda points out how getting political change on things like minority policing and other initiatives is such a tough sell when so many have it good and don't want to rock the boat.

I just look at city after city and the typical black resident doesn't seem to have an effective voice in politics.

Just look at Baltimore's current mayor.
Well mumsy was a doctor and my father was a politician, I grew up in the upscale Ashburton neighborhood. She's got hers with prominent democratic connections, board seats, DNC secretary.....is she going to "rock the boat"? Not on your life.

P.S. "Well it's not like I'd vote republican" is a valid response...can't blame you there....but it doesn't change the point.
But Bloomberg isnt a Democrat

Bloomberg is a democrat in position.

Often times democrats in really blue areas (like new York city)will change party but run on the same pricipals just so they stand out to the electorate and don't have to face a bunch of democrats during the primary process.

Ladies? You can now quit selling Chinese knockoff handbags to your friends when this starts....there will be a HUGE demand for guns sold under the straw purchase/gun show market....Eastman Gun Shows wishes to take this special moment to thank Bloomberg for coming up with such a ridiculous, unconstitutional, and stoooopid idea such as this....right up there with the big gulp....good luck Bloomberg....you keep failing to realize that money does not always equate to brains but, it might do wonders in the real estate markets dahhhhlinguh....

He really isnt. He has some left wing postions, but that is about it.

But the point of the post i Responded to was that Bloomberg would have Democratic allies on that particular position. In reality, he would have none, zero.

For the most part NYC is (D). They elected him more than once and for some odd reason despite the claims they are liberal they supported Bloomberg when he trampled all over the Constitution with stop and frisk.

That they would also support this is a valid position to take based upon past history.
