Your post seems to clearly state " elephant in the corner" is the non EU immigrants. But it is not. That is really not an issue in Britain. It is the EU immigrants that are the "elephant in the corner".
And of course no one wants to discuss it. Britain does not really want to admit that discrimination against certain Europeans is why Britain wants out.
