None at all? Don't know your definition of a liberal or what makes one an alpha male, but I can tell you in my 35 plus years in the sports profession I have met a good share of white athletes and coaches that lean left. Probably about 1 out of every 3, no less then 1 out of every 4.
Yah- the liberal alpha male just pretends to be liberal - They play nice and herd the classic liberal males about and rule over them.
The "Conservative" vs "Liberal/Progressive" debate is one that we have often in this country. If you go to, say, Central/South America, most of Asia (India, Japan, China, etc.), most people are very Conservative-leaning in their attitudes toward marriage, politics, child rearing, etc. In fact, a good percentage of the world would make Ted Cruz sound like a Liberal apologist.
Don't exactly know why that is, but most Americans seem not to notice.
They probably don't have authoritarian liberals planning every square inch of their lives for them so they tend to be conservative with their money, conservative in their religions, conservative in their families all the while desiring education and a better life for themselves and their families.
Contrast that with we're all gonna die tomorrow from floods, famine, droughts, heat, (hell, pick your choice, it's climate change now so anything goes) if you don't pay higher taxes. Destruction of the nuclear family. Destruction of gender roles. The abolishment of private property. The abolishment of classes. Etc...
Liberals love to claim how big their tent is and how you can join if you like. Once in there though it's pretty easy to tell they're trying to burn the entire tent down like petulant children.
Because they are a limp member and have to try to make them self feel good about it. Being important is something that can be treated but a tofu licking full on liberal there really is not cure.
Because they're not racist and they want to be held to the same standard as everyone else and not given privledges. All the GOP does at the end of the day is enforce the status quo of white rule. That's all it does.
This is one of the most perplexing things of all when I think about politics. I will go on any political site or facebook news page and see all these angry white male liberals clamoring about the GOP and Trump and whatnot and I just laugh to myself. These white men are hated by almost every socio-economic group in the liberal caucus and based off the comments I've heard amongst these groups, if they had the choice and power, these white men wouldn't have livelihoods and/or would die. White males are blamed by these groups for almost every problem that exist under the sun. I can't fathom what incentive is there to being a liberal Democrat for a white man today?
Whites can change. Whites have a history of killing everyone and cutting off genitals. To seperate from that history a white person can choose to become and abolitionist. Slavery was always wrong, what's wrong is wrong is wrong, and there have always been white abolitionists and quakers. The white liberals are just these people. Descendants of abolitionists, quakers, ect. Also I have a great deal of white friends who grew up with an insanely racist mom or dad and at an age they're just get tired of hearing their parents. They see dumb asian, smart asian, educated black, hiphop crazed black, americanized hispanic, and fob hispanic. When you see all these people defy your parents racist stereotypes you stop listening to your parents because they are wrong.
A lot of baby boomers think they're right, but a lot of them are wrong. Most of them grew up in a bubble and didn't go to college and Ameria was strict back then. Being creative and different wasn't a positive trait. Takeaway don't listen to non ba 4 yr degree accreddited, univ of phoniex doesn't count, college grads over the age of 34 talk about race, they were socialized to be biased.

I could explain it to you, but I can't comprehend it for you.
I'm a registered Republican, but lean independent (indies can't vote in primaries in PA). But I'm mostly disgusted with the crap the GOP has put out their for candidates against easily defeatable Dems.
So I'm going to suggest a white male could easily become liberal because they believe in evolution and recognize that every organized religion is simply a bunch of man-made rules created to control a constituency of dummies.
