We aren't there because we love the Japanese.

We are there to maintain our hegemony over the Western Pacific, which enables us to keep trade flowing in that region and block China and North Korea from attacking more of their neighbors.

This "Japan is our great ally" stuff is just too funny!

The Japanese are extremely racist and xenophobic and wouldn't give you the time of day if they couldn't get money out of you.
Speak for yourself. They wouldn't give YOU the time of day perhaps. That's got nothing to do with me.

Moreover, didn't know you wanted the United States to b an imperialist power.

Of course, you're right that Japan is no ally. We have no allies.

Well, I'm always prepared to admit that I might be wrong -- as difficult as that is to even conceive....

But answer me this: How many immigrants does Japan accept?

How many refugees?

How many asylum seekers?

Japan has an aging population and a declining birth rate -- so I would think that they would be open to non-Japanese immigration where the immigrants become full citizens and have children who are full citizens.

Is that happening there?

I don't, but if we aren't, someone else will be.

Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have been solid U.S. allies.
