State Sen. Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens) said his proposal provides “what we can realistically achieve now” for the estimated 2 million people in the state illegally.
“We are talking about our friends. We are talking about our neighbors and our families who are denied basic healthcare in the richest state of this union,” Lara told his colleagues.
...the richest state, and the most in debt of any state. We are the 6th worst state for solvency, which is insane considering we'd be the 8th largest GDP in the world if we were a country.
No sooner do we start scratching our way back from bankruptcy (through several BILLION $$$ tax hikes) the liberal inmates can't contain themselves and are ready to trash the state once and for all!
Seriously though, if you look at CA's budget now vs. 30 years ago the reason they are in so much trouble is that they have HUGE social program expenses related to illegals (Under 18 school, food etc.) kids.
But hey, I seriously wonder how you legally extend benefits in such a manner and frankly I don't have the energy to dig into if it's partisan BS or reality. Such is the price of having an untrustworthy reputation.
This would mean Mexicans can live in Mexico, but get free health care in California.
Same for Chinese or anyone. The whole world.
One has to wonder why all these countries all of a sudden want Americans to take care of them........just what the hell are Americans working for? Is our Federal taxes going to other countries now? No wonder our roads and hospitals are getting worse and clinics are popping up everywhere.
