You are also the poster child for Americans that live to work and you are stuck in the past. As I said the work week will continue to shrink, it is inevitable.
When I worked my last couple of jobs for someone else, most of my weekends were vacation days.

This is true for most working Americans. In the US, most people have two days vacation every week, adding up to over 100 vacation days a year.

Sorry if this fact interferes with your rhetoric.

I have. And I have hired people who have negotiated with me above what I initially offered them. My real world experience trumps your playing a victim.

Not to mention the fact that practically every professional job comes with two days vacation every week.

Your post is void & illogical. I never played a victim in this thread regarding vacation. CD is filled with so called self-employed know it alls. It's hilarious.

By all means, work those two supposed "vacation days" if that's how you view them. You have fun with that.

Yes, it is like these liberals have never had a real job. Vacation, like everything else, is negotiable if you have the right skill set.

Why are you against more vacation time to travel, see the world, or just go to the beach, etc?

Why do you defend the "rat race"?

Why do you say "suck it up"? Are you able to accept there are people that enjoy life more than you do and have a better standard of living? What is the point of staying in the rat cace 24/7?

Why do you admire a system where people have top work 24/7 to keep the head above water? Suck it up! Is that your answer?

I am going to assume you are a large business owner and that you want to maximize profit at all cost. And that includes less benefits to your employees. If that is the case then I see your point (or greed).

However, if you are employed your words make ZERO sense.
Aaaaaaawwww, let's use precious feelings instead of LOGIC to argue the point. Isn't that adorbs!

AGAIN, I am against FORCING business owners to do things such as:

Forcing them to offer x amount of days time off
Forcing them to offer x amount of health insurance payment
Forcing them to offer x amount in 401k
Forcing them to close on certain holidays
Forcing them to pay x amount minimum
Forcing them to keep people who are not doing the job
etc.

I am not a large business owner, and it has nothing to do with "maximizing profit at all cost", it has to do with EXPENSES. You go asking for a job, and then you go asking for all kinds of extras, you better show that person why, in full detail, they should give you anything more than they are currently offering. That is called "negotiating". If you don't know how to negotiate, that is NOT the fault of the business, and the government doesn't need to come in and save you from yourself.

I am going to assume that you have never done anything but allow others to employ you, and have never stepped out and tried anything yourself - that would require ingenuity, hard work, a lot of time building up the business...who the hell wants that when there's parties to attend! There's Instagram pics of dinners at restaurants to take! There's snapchats at night clubs to be done. There's Vines to post! There's Game of Thrones to watch! "Work? WORK? To get out from underneath what is so reviled? HELL NO, our comfort should be HANDED TO US!"

You all completely and totally fail to understand how things get done, created, invented, built in this country. It's not because everyone is living in the lap of luxury at the business owners' expense. You have to EARN what you want. And yes it does make absolute logical sense because I don't want to pay higher prices when you aren't special enough to have any outstanding talents, skills, creativity NOR do you have a clue how to negotiate or apply yourself in to getting what you want besides screaming and stomping your feet that you "deserve" all the extras.

There is nothing complicated in my post. Demanding govt bully employers into granting vacation time when you have been free to negotiate the same for yourself all along, implies self victim hood.
Me thinks you don't follow logic too well.

Could care less if you believe me, but I do know C-D is filled with know-it-all's who think they know how very one else's business should be run. Consider yourself part of that group.

I can't say I agree with that because everyone is different. You can force the time off but why not give the employee a choice. What you believe does not apply to all and it is not up to you or the government to decide what kind of "balance" another individual needs in their lives. Some people actually like working and feel energized being productive. If they NEED vacation then maybe assess the workplace and why employees might feel dissatisfied.
