It all depends upon where you go. Some areas are more urbanized than others.

Of course. But it's a pity that the urbanized areas are never shown on tv. Most non-Africans think African is just a "big jungle"... Many schools cover the advanced kingdoms of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas, but focus only on the most primitive people in Africa; ignoring Africa’s advanced civilizations, which better represent the continent.

Why it is always Africa’s most primitive people—the Bushman, Pygmies, and Maasai— who make up less than .001% of Africa’s population, that we see the most on TV, in movies, in magazines, etc? There are more white Africans than there are "primitive people" in Africa, so it's fair to say that the whites will better represent the African continent

Have you ever been to Africa?

It won't be that way for long, Africa (not including "middle east") is becoming more and more unlivable for whites, just look at Zimbabwe and S.Africa.

Doesn't slavery still exit there?

Usually within a post or two someone comes up with AIDS who the hell brought AIDS to Africa in the first place?

I agree. Think about our real motivations for being in Iraq.

Is the US a nice country deserving of a positive light? That will depend of what your idea of "positive" is of course...

Slavery? Where exactly in Africa? Could you be specific and tell us precisely which country in Africa practice slavery in the "Western sense". Africans are the one who wrote Le code noir(The black code). Europeans wrote it http://chnm.gmu.edu/revolution/d/335/

People have a tendency to confuse serfdom, the condition of servitidue which existed in all cultures, with slavery.

It would be interesting to see European countries trying to survive without African natural ressources and minerals. Could you imagine France without African oil? What about Belgian without the Democratic Republic of Congo?

Europe has almost all of the industries, but almost no natural ressources with the exception of Norway, the Ukraine and Russia. African every single natural ressources and minerals known to man and to God, but almost no industries...and to have industries, you need natural ressources and minerals that's why colonialism was started in the first place. So don't kid yourself and think that European countries and corporations are anxious to walk away from Africa anytime soon.
