I wouldn't relate this to Dallas, Black Lives Matters, etc. For now there isn't any indication that it is.
Duh, and there never will be. The shooter, a WHITE guy was trying to make an escape. Simple, but tragic for the officers killed and those civilians injured.
I read and heard that he was handcuffed ( although in front~ not behind his back.) Also, he was not shackled, which would have hampered his mobility. So he grabbed gun from bailiff and started shooting and running around ( quite mobil) since his legs and feet were not shackled.
Seems like a careless procedure for moving a prisoner around. Twenty-twenty hindsight but if he had been cuffed behind his back the chances of him getting ahold of a bailiff's gun would have been close to zero.

I made this statement/question in the beginning. If no one in that courtroom had a gun would anyone have been shot?

Why? Because the perp wasn't Black? Maybe he quickly though "cops died this week and I'm gonna kill a few more to get out of here". Dallas could very well have had something to do with it (though probably not BLM).
