Just heard about this. I don't trust Erdogon. And something like this would conveniently give him a pretext for "emergency powers" and jailing "conspirators". While I don't think it would be totally fabricated, it is possible that its severity and size could be deliberately exaggerated for political gain.
Will see in the coming hours what is actually happening there.

I should hope they fail! Every recent governmental overthrow in the Middle East has put terrorist groups in power.
Turkey ain't perfect, but they're a very secular nation. They even outlawed the wearing of the hijab awhile back. Turkey is one of the few sane Muslim majority nations out there.
