It is in the progressive cities, but Austin is debating tolling I-35 through downtown.
They have made it to get anywhere a toll road is the only real logical choice. Roads that needed built long ago, are built as toll roads.
I spend $100-$150 on toll roads a month, between 3 vehicles(Mine, Wifes & Daughters)
When MOPAC was first built, it needed to be 5 lanes then.
That's wha happens when we spend trillions on wars instead of infrastructure. Nothing progressive or conservative about it.

I've been to Austin many times and have het to pay one cent in tolls. I get around the city just fine. If you CHOOSE to take a toll road that's on you.

Yeah the Sam Houston here is paid for but they kept the tolls. I hate them just as much as you, Bent. It doesn't matter who's in government, conservative or progressive, they both have a vested interest in keeping it that way.
What happened to the $847 billion that we invested already from TARP? Remember the shovel ready projects? Did Flint, Michigan get new water pipes?
