We've been pushed around by our corrupt government serving their own interests and it seems to only be going downhill from here.

Is there a tipping point? Are the American people united enough to overthrow a government that becomes too oppressive (not suggesting that it's unbearable now, but could reach that point). Or, do they have our psychology in tight reins, able to steer us wherever they want?

You assume most Americans feel as you do.

That may be a rash assumption.

No, but that's exactly part of my point... for those who never feel oppressed--is it due to the psychologically persuasive genius of the government?

I mean, eventually they could be taking more and more from us without us feeling its a problem if we're brainwashed meticulously.

A divided people will not rise up. That's why corrupt politicians want us to be divided.

Some people are getting free food, free phones, free utilities, reduced housing and soon some free college. Those getting the free stuff aren't going to overthrow anyone anytime soon.

Eventually those feed up by paying for all this free stuff will only be about 3% with the rest of the 97% getting all the free stuff. The 3% will be subject to mob rule through union or elected delegators who will determine how much and who gets the most free stuff.

The 3% will have to flee the country to escape a 90% taxation rate. The problem with socialism ( and giving away free stuff) is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money.

With all the recent revelations regarding the Clintons and the DNC coronation of Clinton.

Now that Hillary Clinton is the Democrats’ candidate for President, prepare for the most fraudulent, corrupt and dishonest if not outright criminal election process in the history of this country.

Not sure what you mean. I don't feel like anything has been taken from me. Can you give some examples? I do sort of understand what you mean insofar as the government being corrupt and no, I don't think the people will ever rise up. They are all too busy "sharing" their boring lives on Facebook or Twitter or watching the Bachlorette. Bread & circuses, my friend, bread & circuses.
