I'm all for those ideas, but then I'm watching from afa,r so it's purely an entertainment thingy for me. Bring on the 21st century Beverly Hillbillies with smatterings of the Hatfield and McCoys and the Walking Dead throw in for chits and giggles.
I want to preface again that I don't agree with everything on this platform, specifically the state religion (or banning public displays), banning guns, and taxing children. The others are good ideas if they could be implemented right.

I am contemplating writing a dystopian novel in which this is loosely the governing platform of the U.S.

if that were truly the case then you can write the novel in any manner in which you choose, and create the circumstances that would bring about the government you envision.
What a crazy post. America has always been independent and this type of Gov. has never worked.
