Hey, we live in a world of ex-governor Jesse Ventura and current governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Why not have someone who has cred as a celeb and some brains to back it up as an elected official?

Minnesota elected Ventura, so they don't mind folks with different backgrounds.

Coleman only won because the incumbent, Sen Wellstone, died in a plane crash only a few weeks before the 2002 election.

I remember that. What a sleazy mudfest that race was. Wellstone's funeral turned into a massive political rally
