Since the growth of the welfare state most immigrants are a drain on the welfare state. We can no longer afford to take in them poor, huddled masses yearning to be free. Especially when a small percentage of them masses like blowing stuff up.
I'll tell you what. Let's take all the money that it takes to bring in each *refugee*, and the money spent on illegals, and put it toward finding people work and taking care of our veterans.

Imagine what would happen in the inner cities if this country gave the people there all the perks they give to refugees, such as housing and job placement and low interest business loans. Do you think they would then become a net benefit to this country? I do, and they deserve it more since they live here and have been historically underserved.
also, DHS has "ramped up its staffing to interview and vet refugees in several key locations, including Jordan, where officers conducted interviews for about 12,000 applicants who had been initially screened by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The State Department also restarted interviews of UNHCR-screened refugees in Beirut, Lebanon in February, and began processing cases in Erbil, Iraq in December."
Of the 4 million Syrian refugees, the U.S. has only approved 10,000, to date. Not exactly teeming hordes.

10,000 people dumped on the USA with (according to sworn testimony) insufficient vetting practices AND the Taxpayer gets stuck with the bill for Food, Clothing, Housing, Medical, Insurance, CASH, Utilities, Education ...... not to mention finding them a job when Americans (particularly in the Black communities) can't find work.
It's a hell of a 'deal' for somebody. Someone is getting rich off of this flood, or getting a political benefit. It's only the beginning of what Obama/Clinton have planned.

You don't have to like the source, but you should look at the facts and the sources used by CIS to come to conclusions. You know, like reports compiled by US government entities.
It's the way it's always been. We are a nation of immigrants. It's one of the many reasons why we are so great.
Of European (they always forget that part) immigrants until about 1970 and later mostly much later 1990s. Most of us were native born. We're not so great anymore.
