Christians get a week at Easter, a week at Christmas, and Thanksgiving*. What other Christian holidays would you like?

*(I'm not going to sidetrack or quibble if Thanksgiving is a Christian holiday - doesn't bother me how you label it.)

Actually December 25 is not a school holiday per the calendar. The winter break starts on Dec 26 and goes through January 2. Maybe Christmas is on a weekend this year.

Also why are the religious names on the calendar for the Jewish and Muslim holidays and not for the Christian holidays? Why not list Good Friday or Easter Monday? I have no issue with all of them being included, but to purposefully exclude one makes me wonder why.

Its still in the 90's outside and people are already whining about the phony "War on Xmas"?

Don't people get PAID time off for the birth, and death, of Jesus Christ?

That's what I thought.

Winter Holiday starts on Dec. 26th.

All the other religious Holidays are named. Christmas is forgotten.

What Christian rituals do you do over the week long Christmas/winter break?
What Christian rituals do most Americans do over the week long Christmas/winter break?

On the 2015-16 calendar, Christmas is included in winter holidays so I'm sure it's never on the calendar as a seperate day regardless of how the calendar falls. Good Friday was listed last year so not sure why it's absent from the current calendar unless it falls on the week of spring break.

I think they should just say "Off School" for all religious days so as not to offend anyone or to highlight any religion as more important than another.

As far as I know just the Catholic obligatory Masses on Christmas Day and New Years Day, the rest of the time is preparing for and recovering from the secular parties around the schedule of that crowed week.

It seems the US while professing to be a Christian country has taken an anti-Christian stand. The Ten Commandments declared illegal while the pillars if islam are allowed.
Network tv pro gay even to the point of sporting a sitcom about a young gay boy who is supported by his divorcing parents and dysfunctional siblings. Network tv is supporting every vile group one could imagine. Whatever happened to the shows a parent could watch with their children?

It seems our government is interested in eliminating the peaceful Christian religion while replacing it with the violent islam.
