Christmas in it's traditional definition doesn't really exist anymore. Its used as an excuse to give people gifts and drive consumer sales. Kids should be learning about what really matters: tolerance and education of other cultures and religions. For instance, we should all be fasting during Ramadan to stand in solidarity with the Muslim community. We should all be eating unleavened bread during Passover to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community, and so forth. Only then will we truly understand and be tolerant to each other.

This does not make sense. Do Muslims in nyct celebrate Easter and good Friday to stand in solidarity with Christians, do they celebrate palm Sunday. Jews may celebrate secular Christmas in nyct, but sure wont do good Friday, and Easter. Celebrating a holiday of another faith is a personal choice. If you want to stand in solidarity with others., that is good for you. As for me I do stand in solidarity, but I dont have to do woke virtue signaling that you are proposing.

Many states now call them a "Spring break" NOT an Easter break and winter holiday and NOT Christmas holiday.

Do NON Christians NOT get off those weeks/days?

If some, like you, are so concerned why do they TAKE that off and NOT volunteer to WORK? If NOT they, and probably you, are being very hypocritical.

I worked with a Jewish lady who ALWAYS volunteered to work on Christmas so the Christians could ALL get the day off.

Do you want those breaks eliminated for ALL?

Christians here in america bend over too much to accomodate other religions. In my neughborhood i see some hindu muslim and other houses not even lightinh up during this season. Some jewish houses had candles in 8 windows but no lights outside.

Of course its good to see american christians not having the tribal mentality but the tradution shouldnt be lost too.
