Many are alcoholics
Many cheat on their wives
Many batter their wives
Many commit suicide
Most are arrogant jerks
Many are controlling of wives and children
Most think their excrement doesn't stink
Many cover up when other cops violate the law
Many don't think the law applies to them
Most are 40 lbs overweight
I can give one reason for not dating a cop: they are abusers. Let's see, abuser vs a pot smoker......I think the choice is obvious. And I know plenty of people who smoke pot, as I'm sure most of you do, and NONE of them are lazy losers who can't be motivated to do anything.
Maybe, but there are also infinite reasons not to date a thug of the State as well. Most people hate those who impose their personal beliefs upon them with aggression, violence, and coercion. Sociopaths and sadists, agents of the State, are hardly nice people to be around. But to each their own. I'd rather hang out with a pot head than an armed thug of the State. One might eat all of my junk food, the other would kill me for challenging their Divine "authority"

I am a conservative. Smoke all the weed you want; I personally think that we should observe the "experiement" in CO and see what the net impact is upon the economic, health, and social concerns of the state.
One should not marry a stoner, alcoholic, drug addict or people who have severe mental illness. All of the above will result in despair and misery.
You anti-cop posters are disgusting. Disagree with the poster if you will, but attacking him or his profession is beyond the pale.

I am not anti-cop in the least. I work in a very high crime area of my city & believe me, I love it when I see cops on the street. That has no bearing on the fact that I've heard stories & been told personally that I should never date a cop because they are in fact abusers, not to mention short tempered. That is not being anti-cop, that's simply stating something.
Parents... What do you think? Is it a temptation for your child that you have to battle against. Apparently some studies show it is...
How sad
Hmmm. Well, were I to have a daughter, I wouldn't want her dating some burned out baker type. However, there are those, and there are people who smoke as others might use alcohol. When it boils down to it, I'd rather she be involved with a pot smoker than a heavy drinker. The likeyhood of her ending up in ICU is considerably lower.
