P.S. I build, operate and maintain gas fired power plants for a living. I can assure you coal is cheaper to operate then NG.....If you want me to to actually prove it I can do that too.....

One out three isn't bad, last winter has led to surplus for both coal and natural gas.

Natural gas is not cheaper than coal and renewables are an insignificant amount of production.

Putting aside that natural gas is cleaner, what is the efficiency of a coal fired plant, cost of disposal and transportation vs natural gas.

Coal from Appalachia is cheaper than natural gas $/MWh? because that is the region we are speaking to.

real time cost for our coal plant is 23 bucks that's the loaded number real time cost for my gas plants @40 bucks I'm not sure about the coal plant heat rate my plants are consistently getting a heat rate of 8250
