Tell that to your boss all high and mighty.
High & mighty? Lol, someone's defensive.

Who gets grades in the real world? I don't. I also don't work in some weird infantile industry but apparently you do? Bizarre.

I see a teacher looking for work in the not so distant future, along with their administrative supporters!

DH went all through school with a kid who left the room when the Pledge was recited.

He could not put anything before G-d. His religion considered the Pledge idolatry, IIRC. Nobody thought a thing about it.

Yep, seen that too going back years. Wiccan student in NY who always went to the bathroom when the Pledge was said. Against my religion, he said.

In Florida the classroom TA who was a Jehovah Witness would go to the back of the room when the Pledge was said. "It is against my Religion to Worship False Gods like a Flag".

I will stand for you, but I am not going going to put my hand over my heart and say the words "Under God" for you.

Of course, it is ONLY Muslims who won't say the Pledge.

Honestly, I really don't care what any individual does during the Pledge, as long as they do not stand in the way of others who wish to participate. Do what you gotta do; just don't be an ass about it.

Pavlovian response expected if one just "rotely" says the Pledge and sings the National Anthem.

There shouldn't be a participation grade for that. For participating in real learning activities, sometimes yes.

After reading at least hundreds of your posts here on the forum, are you advocating working well with others in all aspects of life?
