True, this could have been an 'ISIS inspired' attack. I read where some experts said that as ISIS loses territory, such activities in Western countries will increase.
Yet, we don't know as yet. Hopefully, someone will be arrested soon, especially since at least one camera caught the explosion.
While I would place my bet on this being ISIS-inspired, I would also not rule out another budding 'unibomber' type person (given the other small explosion that did no harm), or even a person inspired by, well, 'voices in the head'.
Yea, well we know that at least 29 people were injured. De Blasio quickly came out and said it appears to be intentional... but he wants to be up front and say it isn't terrorism

It was no one's fault. Just another errant pressure cooker that blew up all by itself. Dumpsters are hot places. It was bound to happen. Those pots are dangerous all on their own and should be outlawed but aside from that move along, there is nothing to see here.
If that's the case, then whoever planted it must have been an amateur. A dumpster would not turn into small pieces of shrapnel, it would simply split open and contain the blast doing it.
