Most shocking aspect of this story: She's a grandmother at 39!
It's an unfortunate part of poverty, especially in a country where opportunities for either gender are scarce but even more dire for women.
Not that it doesn't happen here - my brother's mother-in-law was a grandmother by 35 and a great-grandmother in her early 50s (first baby at 15, daughter had a baby at 15, granddaughter got married and had baby at 18). When my brother married into the family at 24, he automatically became a great uncle.
