It is more like; the US wants a no-fly-zone, so what will the US do if/when Russia does not abide by it?

Too; Putin will probably have some real problems soon. Russia's pop in about half of the US's and, their birthrate's well below replacement level for years.
Russia has for a few years now stabilized its population and it is growing, and it is still by far the most populated country in Europe almost double of second place Germany, and overall Russia is the ninth largest population in the world.

After plunging to a low of 1.16 children per woman in 1999 – a “lowest-low” fertility rate that was once theorized by some demographers to be irreversible – it has since climbed to 1.71 in 2013, and on the trends observed this year until August, will rise further to the mid-to-high 1.7s in 2014.

Still not replacement level: we're talking about 2.1 kids per woman.
Too; take away its nukes and, Russia is pretty much "Mexico".
They do not need replacement level right away, nor will they have it. Russia is far from the only country with this replacement level "issue", which is not an issue at all. Russia has a labor surplus right now, and again, still has almost double the number people as Germany, and is the ninth most populated country in the world. I ask this question before every time population numbers come up for countries; exactly how many people do you think Russia should have?
Russia is not pretty much "Mexico". Russia has a research and industry sectors that are far and above Mexico's. I have not yet seen Mexico develop advanced fighter jets, heavy body jets, launch people into space, or develop some of the most sophisticated military tech in the world. Mexico does not even have close to the ability to do this, Mexico exists because its billions of dollars its citizens in the US dump back into Mexico, and that it is a dumping ground for US industry. Not knocking Mexico though, but it really is not comparable to Russia at all.
We should have left years ago, like before 2002. Every single American and every single piece of US equipment should be withdrawn from the middle east ASAP.
