Well, lying is wrong. When it comes from the president of the United States, it is even worse. How great the damage done to a society where the leader lies, and by inference, gives permission to all that lying is an accepted form of dialogue.

It is not.

So let's begin a list of the lies which have spewed from the President's mouth. There are currently over 1,000.

Let's start with:

"I will give personal funds in the amount of $1 Million to the Harvey relief effort."

Trump has never given to charity, in spite of numerous statements that he will. It seems he uses the "follow me I am giving" promise to motivate others to give. But he never fulfills his promise. There is no check for Harvey, and the WH has walked back that the Donald will give any money for Harvey relief.

What is your known lie from the Donald? Can we get all 1,000 posted here, or will he outpace our ability to record them?
To show you are NOT biased, how about a list of Obama's lies, Bill Clinton's lies, hillary's lies, Pelosi's lies and other dems lies, etc.

Where is the catalog of Obama's lies, Clinton's lies, Bush's lies? I want to complete my collection and have made room on my bookshelf.

Start your own thread on them. This is about the current POTUS.

Would that excuse Trump's?

I agree with this and it along with his "trollish" and unstable personality are the prime reasons I dislike the man.

In addition, he does not even attempt to come up with GOOD lies. His lies make me believe that he must assume that anyone who believes him is an idiot. I have come to expect lies from politicians... but for f**ks sake at least have the respect come up with some at least decent halfway believable lies.

Instead it is easily refutable obviously blatantly false crap over and over and over and over and over... I won't support someone who tells me incredibly stupid lies and then expects me to believe them like an idiot, mouth agape, drooling on my shirt.

Honestly... being told extremely stupid lies and being expected to believe them pisses me off way more than merely being lied to.

that is false. the Republican party gave us Trump. pretending Obama was a "liar" is a lie in itself. Every single POTUS in history in fact every single person who can, has lied throughout their lives.

but to suggest Obama lied to the public is a big fat lie. By any metric Obama was not a liar, but i get you hate him so you need to pretend otherwise.

I'd been hoping by New Years, but it looks like it may drag on into the spring.

This could be a disaster for Republicans. Imagine heading into the campaign season with this hanging over your head.

Meanwhile, in addition to getting the Russia business straightened out, Congress has the debt ceiling, the budget, ACA, DACA, disaster relief, and those elusive tax cuts for the rich.

Then there are the wars, of course.

I'm not pretending and wow, what double speak......"Obama was not a liar but yes, every president has lied".

Does that make it ok?

He said he would end the wars. He didn't.

He said he would not get us involved in new wars. He did.

He said he would prosecute the bankers. He did not.

He said he would shut the White House doors to lobbysists. On day one he invited them in.

He said he would post his health care bill for all to read before it was voted on. We know how that went.

These are all things he could have done on his own.

Lie of the Year: 'If you like your health care plan, you can keep it' | PolitiFact

This is why we have Trump. There are more reasons but this is a big one. Many of us refused to back eight more years of this.

POTUS today announced that he supported the D's plan on the CR. Problem with that is the GOP controls what comes to the floor.

POTUS and daughter took a ride to ND to push tax cuts, problem of course is he has no plan, just some talking points.

POTUS just lying away.
