Comprehension is your friend.

I was taking a subtle stab at people from California.

" he believed that at least some passengers had been told that the family members of a fallen soldier were aboard. "

Some passengers? So the others could have been listening to their earbuds or something. Hopefully, this was all just a misunderstanding. Afterall, the passengers in the second plane were okay with it.

Come on now. Some people don't realize how stressful it can be flying first class. Those flutes of champagne they serve before takeoff can be very small.

My point is military deaths aren't special.

Rejected by the military huh Frank?

The real problem is on the 737s when the coach passengers clog the first class aisle while boarding keeping the waitresses from delivering drinks. It drives me crazy.

While booing is rude and uncalled for, I wonder if all of the other people with connecting flights got the same consideration. Their plane was late, and the connecting flight was held up for them, but what about the hundred or so other passengers and their connecting flights?

It's also common curtesy to listen to the flight crew announcements, because there are times when they need passsengers to do something. I was delayed two different times due to knuckleheads drowning out the world while there were issues with their luggage.
