Personally, I'm all for it. Especially if they secede before The Big One hits.

Wow America, we really dodged a bullet. Imagine having that psychotic witch within reach of the nukes.
Much better to have a man that has a hair trigger temperament to be commander in chief. Oh yeah, we dodged a bullet; Hillary, that so far, has over 1.5 million more votes, than our future dictator. Trump is an ego maniac with no empathy. Filthy mouthed person; as leader of our country. What a beauty.

Wonder if there are any buyers remorse from trump lovers. oops???????

Gee mollygee ... are you just another sore loser wallowing in self-despair ?

Trump has no empathy for whom ?

No buyer's remorse here as I didn't help elect the man for his mouth. I elected him to get things done and improve this country.

Well, given that the stock market has broken into record HIGH territory (being labeled the Trump effect) I'd bet there's many on CD, even those die hard Hillary supporters that are happier when looking at their accounts even though many were crying just a few weeks ago about how the market would tank if he was elected...

Here's the thing, unless something drastic happens to people's wallets (that can't be blamed on Bush) the majority of the left will settle down and go on just like when any other president has been elected. If full time employment rises, if their retirement keeps rising and they can buy more of what they want then the chatter will drop to a murmur.

Of course there will always be the left/right wing loons who cry, rant & rave, stomp their feet etc over every perceived slight but hey, what else is new...

Trump is just going to go with the "It's the economy stupid" way of thinking like Clinton did. If the economy is better under Trump than Obama, which it most likely will be... the Democrats are done for many years.

All the morons on here whining about the popular vote and how CA should secede are some of the dumbest people I've ever seen on CD. They are never going to get rid of the EC, and California is never going to secede in a million years.

Most of them are just whiny kids that don't know how the real world works... and that's why you see all these college kids that clearly don't get it and are brainwashed by the media.

Actually, it is not so clear that he won. Trump clearly lost the popular vote and, all things considered, it could still turn out that he loses the Electoral College, either do to recounting ballots, or due to Electors switching their votes. It's not likely that 38 electors will turn "faithless" but my point is that "the game ain't over till it's over" and, as a matter of fact, the game simply isn't over until the Electors cast their votes and the votes are fully counted or re-counted, as needed.

I would also add this: This election is a perfect example of why the Electoral College exists in the first place. The founding fathers were afraid that the populace could be bamboozled by a demagogue. Trump is the perfect example of a demagogue, and he has demonstrated in countless ways that he is unfit to be President, so if the Electoral College does elect Trump, then it fails to fulfill the one and only purpose for its existence.
