The thread on Obama's DOJ going after the Denver Police Dept for not hiring non-U.S. citizens made me think about this. Trump got elected because people are tired of policies that put the interest of other countries and non-citizens ahead of our country and our citizens. From immigration policies to H1-B visas to bad trade deals, people are fed up with it and want to get back to looking after ourselves first and foremost. With that said, our country is becoming increasingly more socially liberal on issues from LGBT rights to marijuana. The alt-right is a loud, vocal minority that has been given validation by this election, but does not represent the overall direction our country is going.

So the question is, do you think that social liberalism is compatible with an "America first" attitude towards trade and immigration? Why or why not?

No because social liberals support mass global immigration part of globalism if not the trade part too. America is nothing now but an overpopulated competing identity groups mess. Social liberals are fueling this totally.

I believe in both America first and socially liberal policies. The most basic explanation of socially liberal is giving people the freedom to do what they want as long as that doesn't hurt anyone else. The part that the far left doesn't seem to understand is that not being America first hurts people, surprisingly themselves more than conservatives. I think they can co-exist but the far left is running the show right now.

First if a non-citizen is a cop how can he read you your constitutional rights if he hasn't even taken the oath to defend said constitution ?
