Change.org has an online petition with over 4.6 million signatures calling for the chosen electors to go against the will of the voters in their states and vote for Hillary instead of Trump, the winner.
1. You show ID when you register to vote in the first place, a Board of Registrar member confirmed your identity before you ever walked into a polling station.
2. Voter registration roles are cleaned up periodically, some states do it more often than others, some only do it based on a notification that someone has moved or died.
As for the controversy. It is because photo IDs cost money, and contrary to popular believe, everyone can not spare 30+ dollars and the lose of daily production to go get one.
If you had to show ID to register, then why the handwringing? Oh, because you don't have to prove anything to register. If you did, then people would not be arguing over having to show it at the voting booth.
I'd bet they would accept an expired photo ID that matches the individual and has a local address. Expired photo ID that matches the individual doesn't work at the polls.
In Texas, if your ID has been expired for four years or less you can use it to vote.
From the same groups that say that voter ID is illegal because rights shouldn't cost money, but $300 permits for limited firearms with months long waits are A-OK!

Unless you can have a country with no immigrants, illegal or legal who don't have the right to vote in national elections and is composed only of citizens. If not, you need to show valid ID to vote. As a citizen I have equal right to make sure that my vote is not influenced by non citizens who are voting without any ID.
Urban League says that asking for an ID to vote in US election is racist.
But when Urban League gives away free turkeys for Thanksgiving, they demand an ID.

Liberalism is a mental illness and I firmly believe someday it will be classified as such. I have never seen a group of people in the depths of denial, selfishness and entitlement. I am shocked by some of the posts I see where they expect other people to take care of them, or provide some free service without any contribution on their part. This post is a great example of hypocrisy.
