Is anyone else contemplating buying stock in US Steel now that Trump will be President? With hopes that he will stick with his word to improve infrastructure and use American companies to do so?

He readily admits he went for the cheaper options in order to succeed in business. That is how good businessman do the job. They want profit. With that said, he is going to be President now and says that he wants to make American companies profitable again by lifting all the regulations, high taxes etc..

And if China sells it cheaper, will those businesses be wrong if they take the cheaper option like Trump did? Trump cannot complain when they are just being good businessmen.

No, they would not be wrong. The whole point of business is profit. Trump will make it so American companies can compete again in the world market. That is my hope. If he cannot, we are in trouble.

All China has to do is sell it cheaper and if Trump demands the U.S. sell it cheaper, it becomes a race to the bottom.

You cannot get steel made in the US. Any construction project requiring major steel components will get that from China or India.....
