Why would intelligence agencies refuse to brief House Intelligence Committee on Russian Hacking if they have credible evidence?

One reason could be because they would face perjury charges for pushing this false story about Russian hacking to congress.

WASHINGTON — House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes on Wednesday blasted as "unacceptable" the refusal of the FBI, CIA and National Intelligence directors to brief his panel on the Russian cyber attacks that occurred during the presidential campaign.

The California Republican, in a letter sent to Clapper on Monday, said he wanted clarification about why the CIA is now saying that Russian hacks of political campaign committees earlier this year appeared to be aimed at helping President-elect Donald Trump and hurting Democrat Hillary Clinton. Nunes pointed to testimony from Clapper in a public hearing in November that the Intelligence Community lacked the evidence to draw such a conclusion.

"It is unacceptable that the Intelligence Community directors would not fulfill the House Intelligence Committee’s request to be briefed tomorrow on the cyber-attacks that occurred during the presidential campaign," Nunes said in a statement released Wednesday night. "The legislative branch is constitutionally vested with oversight responsibility of executive branch agencies, which are obligated to comply with our requests."

The IC is in the middle of a Review ordered by the President. When the Review is complete, the appropriate Committees wil be advised. Rep Nunes knows this, he's just grandstanding. Everyone should just be patient and let the IC and Congress do their jobs

I feel like the micro managing boss standing behind someone going "Come on, how slow can you be?" as they desperately try and pull it all together.

They aren't asking for the final review, they just want to be briefed. It's not too much to ask that the intelligence agencies brief the House Intelligence Committee.

"the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said that "senior administration officials have regularly provided extensive, detailed classified and unclassified briefings to members and staff from both parties on Capitol Hill since this past summer and have continued to do so after Election Day."

There is nothing to brief them on.

Meanwhile, the Clinton Camp is calling for Declassification of all Intelligence. So it sounds like they agree with the Trump camp.

They were asked to come to congress, where they would be under oath, and we could separate the facts, from the propaganda. They declined, that speaks volumes.

Dont look now, but Lindsey Graham just took it up a notch.

“Now if you don’t believe that the Russians were involved in interfering in our election then I am really troubled by that because I have been briefed. I don’t think anybody who’s heard these briefings doubts that the Russians were interfering in our elections.”

Where is the letter that Nunes wrote? The IC claim it was not a request at the Director level. Someone is fibbing.
